Rio Alara is the most recent addition to the Agriculture Investments family. DPS has procured late-season cherries from the Rio Alara business for nearly a decade, and when the opportunity came for the group to work more closely with Rio Alara, there was no hesitation.
Rio Alara’s origin is on the banks of Lake Buenos Aires in Los Antiguos – the southernmost growing area of Argentina. This location is critical – providing the ideal latitude together with the warming effects of the lake – we produce the highest quality cherries at a time when no others can supply.
The operation now extends over 100ha across 9 farms where we grow 6 varieties of exceptional quality cherry.
